Live at Slane DVD

By far, the best concert I've ever seen. Any fan of the Chili Peppers needs to buy this DVD. The chemistry of the group is untouchable. They played all their hits from "By the Way" and "Californication", plus a couple from "Blood Sugar Sex Magik". They also did a cover of the Ramones song "Havana Affair". Flea even came out and showed what he could do on his trumpet. I would have given anything to be at this concert, but at least I can watch it over and over.

Stadium Arcadium

This is the group's fifth album on Warner Bros. In my opinion, this album blows all others out of the water. You could argue that they sold out, because this album is so different from their original work, but i couldn't care less. This is a double LP album with 28 songs collectively. I could go through and review each song to say why it's great, but that would be too boring to read. If you aren't a fan of the group, buy this album and you soon will be. Everyone has heard the hits "Dani California", "Snow(Hey Oh)", and "Tell Me Baby", but what about the others? I don't understand how "Slow Cheetah", "Strip My Mind", "Wet Sand", or "She Looks to Me" didn't become hits that were played repetitively on the airwaves like the first three I mentioned. All in all, this is Red Hot Chili Peppers best album by far and any fan needs to own a copy.

"By The Way"

This is the Chili Peppers' fourth album on Warner Bros. Getting back into their groove, the group created another amazing album. Fans of the band's work in the 80's may not appreciate this album as much because it is very much more of a light rock feel to it. They have all made great strides as musicians, and Anthony is becoming a much better singer. This album is packed with 16 songs, none of which i don't like. Its a great album to listen all the way through without thinking about it. Notable songs from this album are "By the Way", "Can't Stop", "The Zephyr Song", and my personal favorite, "Tear". "By the Way" is a great album to listen to when you are in a good mood because after listening to it, you'll be in a great mood.

Californication

This is the third album from the RHCP on Warner Bros. Its got some of their greatest hits on it, including "Californication", "Scar Tissue", and "Otherside". Those songs are all great, but to me the rest of the album doesn't compare to the rest of their work. That's what makes me wonder why this album has sold over 15 million copies worldwide. Obviously, by this point of their career, they had become one of the most known rock bands of their time. Fruciante had made his way back to the band, after almost dying from a severe drug overdose. The band was back to having the members they were comfortable with from "Blood Sugar Sex Magik". The hits from this album showed that they have potential to do amazing things, and they weren't going to stop getting better.

One Hot Minute

This is Red Hot Chili Pepper's second album on Warner Bros. Unfortunately, the Peppers yet again had to search for a new guitarist. They found Dave Navarro from Jane's Addiction. Don't get me wrong, Dave is a great guitarist and musician, but it didn't seem to fit the style of the Chili Peppers. This is the Chili Peppers darkest album by far. They had been through many rough times up to this point, and this is where they express it in music. This album isn't nearly as bad as people think though. It's great for when your angry or upset. One memorable song that all Chili Pepper fans need to hear is "Pea". All it is is a 2 minute song sung by Flea while he plays bass along with himself. Its funny because its so random, but its also explicit and slightly disturbing. In my opinion, the Chili Peppers most underrated album is "One Hot Minute".

Blood Sugar Sex Magik

This album is what many fans believe put the band on the map. It made it all the way to number 3 on the Billboard charts due to such hits as "Give it Away", "Under The Bridge", and "Suck My Kiss". The Red Hot Chili Peppers had left EMI and Signed with Warner Bros. Rick Rubin produced this album and changed the style of their music dramatically. They're music was much more serious and they tried a softer side of music on some songs like "I Could Have Lied", and "Under the Bridge". Red Hot Chili Peppers finally made it big and almost every kid in America had heard of them.

Mothers Milk

This is the first album after Hillel's death. To replace Hillel, the RHCP found a guitarist named John Fruciante. Chad Smith replaced Jack Irons on drums, and the Red Hot Chili Peppers managed to stay together. 2 of the songs on this album became hits as this album reached 52 on the Billboard Charts. To date this album has sold 2 million copies worldwide and went Platnum in the US. This was the Chili Peppers' most successful album on EMI. One thing that makes this album distinctly different from the first 3 is Fruciante's guitar playing. The Chili Peppers were becomming more and more famous, but they still hadn't had their breakthrough album.
